More Jack

Here are a few more photos for you:
The morning Jack was born Grant went in to get Maggie from her crib when she woke up. He walked in and said, "I have a surprise for you. Do you know what it is?" She thought about it for a few seconds and then excitedly said, "MUFFINS!" However, she was equally excited when she found out the surprise was Jack's birth.

A few days ago we were driving in the car and the sun was shining in Maggie's eyes. She started crying because it was too bright and so Grant held up his arm to block the sun. She kept crying so we said, "Maggie, Daddy fixed it. It's not in your eyes any more." She said, "I know. I just need to cry a little bit more," and then proceeded to sob dramatically for a minute or two.

Does anyone have any good Halloween costume suggestions? I am struggling...

Oh, how I wish I had a little girl!
On another note, Erin looks postively radiant! Her baby is gorgeous.

HEY COURTNEY,

JUAN AND I THOUGHT MAGGIE WOULD BE ADORABLE AS EITHER CINDY LOU WHO OR STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

Thanks, Rachel and Juan, for the suggestions! I like both of those ideas :)

That was hilarious. She's such a funny girl. Are you writing this stuff down, I mean, besides on the blog. That's one regret I have and a gift I often give new moms - a journal to record all those sweet and innocent gems. I should have a million of them in my head, but time and life have carried so much of them away! When I tell them little stories that I do remember, even at this age (15 and 17 now), they revel in it. Precious times my friend.

And, as far as Halloween costumes go, I love the idea of Cindy Lou Who. I also think that she'd make an adorable raggedy ann. I'll bet if you asked her, she'd come up with something completely original and interesting.
