Sorry

I know it's been a long time since I updated and I feel like such a hypocrite because I always get annoyed when I check people's blogs and they haven't posted in a while. Grant's looking at some newer photos right now and as soon as he's done I'll post them.

Meanwhile, Maggie has been especially cute and funny lately. She's been into rhyming and matching AND she has a joke she likes to tell. Here it is:
What does the French cow say?

Moo la la! (Picture her doubled over with laughter). Grant and I laughed heartily at first but now we are perfecting our fake laughs. Although sometimes it still makes us laugh.

As for rhyming, she makes up funny names for things, like, "Ham" has become "Hammy bo bammy" and instead of saying she wants, say, a sandwich, she'll say she wants a tranwich or something equally nonsensical. And sometimes she mixes the letters up altogether. Yesterday she asked me to paint her nails with "poe tail nolish". She also wanted us to paint her muscles pink with nail polish. We can't figure that one out.

Last night as I was putting her to bed she said, "Mama, if I see a bug in my crib I'll just talk to you on the monitor and say 'Mama there's a bug in my crib!'" For the record, we have never found a bug in her bed. But I would appreciate her letting me know if there IS one in there.

As for matching, if we give her a pink plate and a pink fork she gets really excited about them matching.

Finally, is there anyone out there who would be interested in helping me (more accurately - me helping you) sew Maggie's flower girl dress for her Uncle Chris and Kajsa's wedding?

Okay, look for those photos soon!

I've been meaning to tell you...when she was over at the house last weekend we went upstairs to do something and she made a comment about something in her room. I just thought she was talking about her room at home. I asked her where was her room and she walked into the room where we always put her down for a nap or overnight and said "right here! This is my room" just so matter-of-fact...like Mimi, you ding-dong, don't you know where my room is? I have to say I just love it that she thinks of a room in my house as "her room"!!!
