Maggie's birthday - belated!

Well, Maggie's third birthday was October 12th so here are (a month later!) some photos from her birthday party. We had so much fun. We decided to have a butterfly-themed party but since Maggie has a lot of boy friends we didn't know if they would think it was too girly, so we decided to have some bumblebee things for the boys. If you asked Maggie what kind of birthday party she was having she would say, "Bumblebees for the boys and butterflies for the girls." We gave out pink butterfly wings to all the girls to wear for the party and the boys were given...nothing to wear. Sorry, boys! I couldn't find any bumblebee wings for them! Anyway, here are a few photos:
Here are all the kids eating birthday cake. I made a really cute butterfly cake but someone (not naming names) didn't get a photo. You can see the bumblebee cupcakes below.
Here is Maggie with her friends Ivey, Caleb and Georgie. Georgie has on her butterfly wings but the other girls don't seem to be wearing theirs!
And here is Maggie with her friend Ben. When the two of them are out together they are sometimes mistaken for siblings because of their similar hair/eye color and overall cuteness:) Maggie simultaneously loves him and loves to torment him. Sigh.
We had such a fun time. It was Maggie's first birthday with as many kids as adults, so that feels like a benchmark birthday to me! I'm so thankful for the last three wonderful years with her precious life.
