Rocker girl

Music is really important to Grant and I and one of Grant and Maggie's favorite activities is to sing together while Grant plays the guitar or banjo. Of course Maggie and I sing together all day long, but I don't play any instruments (unless you count the kazoo!).

So today Maggie and I are driving around when she says, "Mama, I really want to make a band with my friends."
I say, "That's great!"
She says, "I'm trying to figure out what instrument to play though."
I'm starting to say, "How about the banjo?!" when she says, "I have a great idea! I know what to play!"
I ask her what instrument she'd like to play in her band and she says, "The tuba!"

I'm not sure where she even learned what a tuba was, but I'm sure she can find a good way to work it into a cool band :)
