A snippet of conversation from our ride home from "Walk Through Bethlehem" (a Christmas event recreating Bethlehem at Christ's birth) tonight:
Maggie: Why were those Roman soldiers so mean? Why did they eat people?
Grant: They don't eat people. People don't eat people.
Maggie: Caleb does.
Me: When have you ever seen Caleb eat a person?
Maggie: I meant a different Caleb.
Me: When have you seen a different Caleb eat a person?
Maggie: (scoffs) Like, a million times.
Right this minute she's running around, pretending to be a Roman soldier and eating people. I guess our conversation didn't really sink in.
