Maggie's first dentist visit!

Maggie had her first cleaning (actually not her first visit to the dentist, but the first time she had her teeth cleaned). I was a little nervous about how she would do but she did great! She didn't love the way the toothpaste felt or tasted, and she wouldn't really let the dentist examine her teeth, but she sat still for the entire cleaning! She thought it was really silly that we both had to wear bibs while we were in the chair. She also charmed the pants off of all the dental assistants, receptionists, and other hygienists - they tried to take her home with them.Here she is with our wonderful hygienist, Miss Shelley! Maggie LOVES Miss Shelley and we talk about her a lot - as in, "Maggie, Miss Shelley really wants you to brush your teeth so you don't get any sugar bugs." We just have to invoke Miss Shelley's name to get Maggie to do anything teeth-related.
The other day Maggie was trying to get Grant to do something with her and he told her he would in five minutes. She waited patiently for three minutes, couldn't stand it any more, and went back in his office. She said, "Daddy, I know this is rude but could you please come with me right now?!" What do you think he did? :)

Maggie and I love to paint her toenails/fingernails. Her favorite style is to paint her left hand and left foot with hot pink nail polish, and her right hand and right foot with light pink nail polish. I'm pretty sure this is all the rage in Europe or something :) Anyway, when we were painting her nails the other day she said, "These nails are so pink. They're pinkernails!"
